Peak Period Short Services (PPSS) are supplementary bus routes operating within selected towns, plying between MRT stations and/or bus interchanges and residential estates. They were introduced under the Bus Services Enhancement Programme (BSEP) to alleviate crowding, reduce waiting times and improve reliability during peak hours.

Peak Period Short Services will run during peak periods of weekday mornings and evenings to take residents between their homes and nearby MRT stations and/or bus interchanges. This initiative is in line with the Ministry of Transport’s announcement at the Committee of Supply 2013 to tap on the resources of PBOs to run shorter bus services to augment the resources of the public transport operators (PTOs).

Travel GSH Pte Ltd has been awarded three PPSS:

- PPSS from Tampines Bus Interchange to Tampines Street 32/33 to complement SBST Bus Service 291
- PPSS from Tampines Bus Interchange to Tampines Avenue 9/Street 45 to complement SBST Bus Service 293
- PPSS from Pasir Ris Bus Interchange to Pasir Ris Drive 4 to complement SBST Bus Service 358
